Mario Gotze has explained how PSV Eindhoven duped Copenhagen fans ahead of their Europa Conference League game last night.
In the first leg, the two sides played out a thrilling 4-4 draw in Eindhoven and it was all to play for in the second leg last night.
As has become quite the trend in football, Copenhagen fans planned to disrupt PSV beforehand by setting off fireworks outside their hotel.

They did just that, hoping to stop the opposition players from getting any sleep going into the crunch clash.
However, PSV hatched quite the plan to avoid any disruption. They tricked supporters of the Danish giants by parking the bus at a completely different hotel.

Forward Gotze eventually revealed the genius tactic during a post-match interview with PSV's official YouTube channel.
The reporter asked, "Were you expecting fireworks at the hotel tonight?" - to which the former Bayern Munich man said, "I don't think so, I don't know".
But then when pressed on the matter, his response changed.

“Yeah, we placed the bus at the hotel, so it was on purpose,” Gotze admitted.
“I slept very well!”
With a smooth sleep and fireworks set off at a random hotel, PSV romped to a 4-0 win away from home to win 8-4 on aggregate.

Gotze was on target, while Eran Zahavi notched a brace and England starlet Noni Madueke got in on the act in the 91st minute.
