Donny van de Beek has returned to action for Manchester United pre-season training.
United players returned to Carrington this week ahead of the club’s first pre-season friendly against Leeds United next Wednesday.
The Old Trafford club will take on the Championship outfit in Oslo before going toe-to-toe with Ligue 1 side Lyon in Edinburgh.

Then United will head to the United States for the first time in five years where they will play Arsenal, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Erik ten Hag’s men will then play two friendlies in successive days against Lens at Old Trafford and Athletic Bilbao in Dublin a week before the Premier League season commences.
Players return for pre-season

While the likes of Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho were among the United players to return on Thursday for the first official day of pre-season training, some have been at Carrington over the past week.
Dean Henderson, Lisandro Martinez and Antony have been at United's training base this week to continue their rehabilitation from long-term injuries.
Van de Beek is another, who has returned for pre-season training after an injury. The forgotten 26-year-old was restricted to 10 appearances in all competition for United, just four of them starts, in the 2022/23 campaign.
The Dutchman had to undergo surgery having suffered a knee injury in January’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth, United’s first game of 2023.

Meanwhile, Amad Diallo and Hannibal Mejbri were back at United after season-long loans in the Championship with Sunderland and Birmingham City respectively.
The former excelled at the Stadium of Light netting 14 times in 42 appearances to help Sunderland reach the play-offs.
Charlie Savage, Maxi Oyedele and Isak Hansen-Aaroen may also be involved in first-team training this week as Ten Hag waits for the rest of his squad to return from their holidays.
