Manchester United and Tottenham are reportedly battling to sign Italy international Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo.
Frattesi, who came off the bench for a two-minute cameo when Italy faced England in the Nations League in September, having completed 90 minutes in the reverse fixture in May, has impressed in Serie A this term.
A central midfielder, he already has four goals to his name in just 15 appearances.

He is the top goalscorer for his club this season, which has attracted interest from both inside and outside of Italy.
According to Italian outlet Il Tempo, Jose Mourinho's Roma have re-entered talks with the player, having previously been interested in signing him in the summer.
The same outlet claims that Roma's sporting director, Tiago Pinto, is a personal fan of the player. At 23, he could be one of the key cogs in Mourinho's side for a number of years to come.

But Frattesi has also reportedly attracted Premier League interest, with United and Spurs at the forefront of that particular race.
Manchester United, Tottenham keen on Frattesi
Italian outlet Il Resto del Carlino have claimed that both United and Spurs have sent scouts to watch Frattesi play this season, with both clubs seemingly keen on signing the player.
United did improve their midfield in the summer, signing both Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. Spurs, meanwhile, brought in Yves Bissouma from Brighton.

But the Red Devils have been linked with adding another midfielder to their squad - and a goalscoring midfielder like Frattesi could be an ideal signing.
Brighton have also been credited with an interest in Frattesi. The player's former boss at Sassuolo, Roberto De Zerbi, is currently in charge at the Seagulls. However, the 23-year-old never played a competitive fixture during De Zerbi's time at the Italian club, instead embarking on several loan spells.
Now a key player at Sassuolo, now may be the time for Frattesi to move on. However, it is also claimed that the club will not sell him for over €30 million, which may prove to be a sticking point for interested clubs.
