Manchester United might have to break one of Erik ten Hag's key rules if Marcus Rashford is to commit his long-term future to the club.
Rashford has been in fine form for United this season, particularly since returning from the World Cup with England.
In 44 appearances this season he has scored 27 goals and provided nine assists, making him one of the most in-form attackers on the planet.

The 25-year-old had endured a tough couple of seasons with injuries and inconsistent form, but the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November and the work of United boss Ten Hag has allowed him to really come into his own.
With Rashford in the best form of his career, United fans would love nothing more than for the striker to commit his long-term future to the club.
However, it appears that might be easier said than done.
Rashford the exception
Rashford is United-born-and-bred, but that doesn't mean that other top clubs across Europe won't try their luck in an attempt to sign him,

According to The Athletic, Paris Saint-Germain offered Rashford a contract worth more than £400,000 per week last summer, but he rejected it.
With the player's current contract at Old Trafford set to expire in 2024, PSG are believed to maintain interest. If that offer is still on the table, then United might have to make an exception to a new policy they are trying to implement.
Last season United's wage spend hit £384 million, an all-time high in the Premier League era. The £400,000 per week that Ronaldo was earning contributed to that, but despite his exit, there remains a great disparity between wages in the squad.
In the name of maintaining squad harmony - not to mention United's ability to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations - Ten Hag reportedly wants to cap wages at the club to £200,000 per week.

United are hoping to renegotiate the wages of stars such as David de Gea - who earns £375,000 per week - but convincing Rashford to re-sign for half the amount PSG are offering him could be tricky.
United bosses might have to break Ten Hag's rule if they are to keep their best player beyond 2024.
