Manchester United are in talks to sign Crystal Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to a fresh report.
On Sunday Newcastle United recalled goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from his loan spell at Old Trafford, after the Slovakian featured just twice under manager Erik ten Hag.
The 33-year-old had joined on a season-long loan with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season. However, he spent most of his time in the northwest on the bench.

With first-choice David De Gea also out of contract in the summer, there are question marks over the whole goalkeeping department at United.
The club currently have only Tom Heaton and Nathan Bishop as back-up options for the Spaniard.
Butland to United
United are in talks to sign Palace goalkeeper Butland, according to the Mail Online.

The 29-year-old is second choice at Selhurst, behind Vicente Guaita, and has reportedly been identified as a candidate to provide competition for De Gea.
Butland was once one of the highest-rated English keepers. He was called up to England’s Euro 2012 squad at just 19 and became the youngest goalkeeper to ever represent the Three Lions just months later.
However, his career stuttered after suffering relegation to the Championship with Stoke City.
The goalkeeper moved to Palace in 2020, having also been linked with Liverpool at the time, and has served as Guaita’s understudy ever since.

A finger fracture suffered in pre-season, along with the summer arrival of another England man, Sam Johnstone, has meant that Butland’s place as the second choice in south London is now under threat.
In turn, Butland has failed to make a single appearance this season.
