Talks between Manchester United and David de Gea over a new contract are 'very, very advanced', according to Fabrizio Romano.
De Gea is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer, and recent errors against Sevilla and West Ham have sparked speculation that his 11-year stint at the club may come to an end.
United were linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel earlier this week, while they have also been credited with an interest in Brentford's David Raya.

Manager Erik ten Hag's style calls for a strong ball-playing goalkeeper, and it is an area in which De Gea has needed to improve in this season.
But the art of goalkeeping is just as important - and the Spaniard recently secured the Premier League's Golden Glove award for the 2022/23 season.
That landmark was something Ten Hag was keen to raise after De Gea's mistake in the 1-0 defeat to West Ham earlier this month.
The Dutchman said (quotes via Daily Mirror): "Yes [it was a bad error], but mistakes are part of football. As a team, you have to deal with it and bounce back. It's a team sport.

"Like you said, over the season, he's the person with the most clean sheets. Everyone has to take responsbility."
Now, De Gea looks to be close to signing a new deal.
De Gea contract 'very advanced'
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Romano explained: "They [Manchester United] wanted to reduce his salary but, at the same time, to have a different structure with the contract - maybe a longer contract with a different structure of the salary - so this is the discussion, but it's now very, very advanced.

"De Gea wants to stay and Manchester United want to keep De Gea, so the idea is to continue together.
"I think Erik ten Hag has been very, very clear on that. It's about the final clauses and then it will be completed soon."
Should De Gea stay the club beyond this season, he will be the last remaining player at Old Trafford from the Sir Alex Ferguson era. The only other player still at United, Phil Jones, is expected to be released at the end of his contract in June.
