Manchester United are interested in signing Bayern Munich star Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting as they search for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenburg.
United have been linked with a plethora of strikers in recent weeks, and failed to bring PSV wide forward Cody Gakpo to the club. He signed for Liverpool instead.
They are also reportedly keen on signing Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix on loan in January, but The Athletic claim that the Spanish giants want a loan fee of €15 million.

Erik ten Hag's side have recently been in fine form, winning their last four Premier League games. Marcus Rashford has taken his goal tally to seven for the season after netting in the 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday.
But they are light in numbers in attacking areas following the departure of Ronaldo, with Jadon Sancho also currently unavailable.
An injury to Rashford would leave Anthony Martial as United's only senior centre forward, and the France international has suffered injury problems of his own this season.

Therefore, the club are reportedly searching for another option.
Man Utd interested in Choupo-Moting
Plettenburg has revealed that United are 'pushing' to sign Choupo-Moting from Bayern, although the Cameroon international is said to be in talks over a new deal at the Allianz Arena. His current contract expires this summer.
He tweeted: "News Choupo-Moting: First meeting about a new contract between Salihamidzic, Neppe, Choupo's father and his agent today.

"Good talks but no fast decision. He doesn't want to be the backup next season. Clubs like #MUFC still pushing for a transfer in winter."
Having been used as backup to Robert Lewandowski in previous seasons, the 33-year-old has been given a regular opportunity in the Bayern starting XI by Julian Nagelsmann this term following the Pole's departure to Barcelona.
But he did have to be patient, with Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane operating in forward roles at the beginning of the campaign.
Choupo-Moting was then handed his first start of the season in a Bundesliga fixture against Freiburg on October 16. After scoring and providing an assist in a 5-0 win, he has not looked back.

In eight appearances since then, the striker has netted a superb nine goals and added a further two assists. Overall, he has found the net on 11 occasions in 16 appearances in all competitions this term, including three goals in four Champions League group stage games.
Now Bayern's undisputed number one up front, the former PSG and Stoke man could be an ideal signing for United if they can convince him to depart the Allianz Arena.
