Manchester United have made a verbal offer to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
United currently have a major goalkeeping dilemma on their hands, with David de Gea currently a free agent after his contract expired on June 30.
With Jack Butland's loan deal with the club also having expired, Erik ten Hag's side are set to enter pre-season with Dean Henderson - who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest - as their number one goalkeeper.

According to the Daily Mirror, the club aren't willing to completely cut ties with De Gea just yet until they have found a replacement, and they could yet hand the goalkeeper fresh terms to stay at Old Trafford.
One replacement they have identified is Onana, who was impressive in last month's Champions League final against Manchester City - with his distribution particularly praised.
And Romano has given an update on United's pursuit of the Cameroon international goalkeeper.

Romano on Onana to Man Utd
Taking to Twitter, Romano revealed that United have made a verbal offer for Onana - but that no agreement between the club and Inter has yet been reached over a transfer.
He explained: "Understand Manchester United have presented in the morning their verbal proposal for Andre Onana. £39m total package - add-ons included. The bid will be official soon.
"Inter expect €60m (£51.4m) fee for Onana, add-ons included. No agreement at this stage. Onana, keen on move."
The 27-year-old, who played under Ten Hag at Ajax, left the Dutch giants to join Inter last summer.

He quickly overhauled Samir Handanovic to become the club's number one goalkeeper, and produced a string of impressive performances in the Champions League.
Onana kept five clean sheets in the competition - the highest of any goalkeeper - while his short and long distribution under pressure is one of his key strengths.
Should United sign the Cameroonian, it remains unclear whether that would spell the end for De Gea at Old Trafford.
According to The Sun, Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr are preparing to offer the Spaniard a £250,000-per-week contract which, if signed, would reunite him with former United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
