Manchester United's latest golden boy Alejandro Garnacho has been in fine form recently and with that comes the talk of a new contract.
It has been widely reported that United want to reward Garnacho's efforts with a new contract and Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation.
Garnacho scored the winner at Craven Cottage in United's final match before the World Cup break.

He also grabbed a goal in United's final Europa League group game, which came against Real Sociedad.
What has Romano said?
Romano says United are in advanced negotiations with Garnacho over a new deal and speaking on his Here We Go podcast, he said: “Alejandro Garnacho, negotiations very advanced on new deal. It’s something that Man United already wanted to do in the summer at the end of June when there was no full agreement between all parties, so they decided to wait a bit.

“Now Garnacho is doing great. He’s considered a top talent. And so Man United made their contract proposal to Garnacho. Negotiations are ongoing but progressing very well. New five-year deal for Garnacho, important salary as a first-team player.”
The 19-year-old spoke to club media recently and addressed the work under Erik ten Hag: "Erik ten Hag is a very good manager and, above all, he’s a great person. He always pays very close attention to us all, and helps us a great deal, especially the young players."
