Manchester United loanee Wout Weghost reportedly wants to stay at Old Trafford, despite being labelled "not good enough".
Weghorst was signed by Erik ten Hag in January as emergency cover for Cristiano Ronaldo, however he has failed to live up to the billing, scoring just two goals since his arrival.
In turn, the Red Devils boss is keen to invest in an elite striker this summer, with Harry Kane emerging as the Dutchman's priority transfer target.

Although Weghorst is eager to extend his stay at the theatre of dreams and become a permanent fixture under Ten Hag, according to the Telegraph.
United are yet top open talks with the 30-year-old over a deal, and as things stand he will return to newly-promoted Burnley at the end of the campaign, where Vincent Kompany will reportedly allow him to leave.
But YouTuber and die-hard United fan Mark Goldbridge reckons United are best rid of Weghorst, having been left unimpressed by the centre-forward.
What did he say?
Speaking on The United Stand’s Youtube channel Goldbridge admitted he had run out of patience with Weghorst when discussing his performance after United's 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the Europa League

He said: “I’ve run out of patience with Weghorst. I know he’s a trier but I’ve run out of patience.
“You’ve got teams getting Joao Felix on loan, Gakpo, teams spending £200 to £300million in January and we’re getting Weghorst in on loan.
“It’s not his fault but he isn’t good enough. He isn’t good enough.”
Indeed, if Ten Hag was to sign a world class striker, Weghorst may become surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Kane continues to be linked with Manchester United, although Tottenham owner Daniel Levy is expected to play hardball over his prized asset, forcing Ten Hag to consider other options.
