Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag wants to sign a right-back in the January transfer window if the club can sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the January transfer window, according to reports - with Cristiano Ronaldo having already left Old Trafford.
United announced Ronaldo's departure from the club on Tuesday evening, stating that the decision was by 'mutual agreement'.
The 37-year-old, who is currently at the World Cup in Qatar with Portugal, will be searching for a new club. As he is now a free agent, he can move elsewhere immediately.

The decision comes following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, where he took aim at the
the Glazer family, who own the club, and Ten Hag, amongst others.
There is to be no way back at Old Trafford for the legendary forward.
However, he may not be the only player to depart the club over the next few months.
Man Utd could sell Wan-Bissaka
Ten Hag has reportedly prioritised the signing of a right-back in January, in order to provide competition for Diogo Dalot.

The Telegraph report that the Dutchman wants the club to sign a player if they can move on Wan-Bissaka, who is deemed as 'surplus to requirements'.
And it is claimed that a right-back will only be signed if United manage to sell the former Crystal Palace defender.
The 25-year-old joined the Red Devils from Palace in 2019, and racked up 69 Premier League appearances out of a possible 76 in his first two seasons at the club.
As per Tribuna, he made 98 tackles in the league in 2020 - more than any other player in the division over the same time period.

But some fans were critical of Wan-Bissaka's attacking output, and he has been replaced as number one choice by Dalot this term.
His cause has not been helped by injury, with the defender having not played for United since the 2-1 victory over Liverpool on August 22.
That could potentially be his final game in a Red Devils shirt, if United do decide to sell him in January.
Ten Hag and his side return to competitive action after the World Cup break on December 21, when they take on Burnley in Carabao Cup action.

Prior to the New Year, they then face league fixtures against Nottingham Forest (December 27) and Wolves (December 31).
