Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has given supporters renewed hope to sign Harry Kane this summer.
The Red Devils are in the market for an elite striker to help ease the burden on Marcus Rashford, who has had to do the majority of heavy lifting in front of goal this season.
England teammate Harry Kane has emerged as Erik ten Hag's priority transfer target, although Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has insisted he is not for sale.

But with Kane yet to sign a new contract in north London, and his current deal due to expire next season, a summer move remains on the cards.
Indeed, United made initial moves to sign the 29-year-old last month, according to The Telegraph.
Although Levy is expected to play hardball over any potential negotiations, with Kane tipped to cost in excess of £100 million - a figure which could force Ten Hag to look elsewhere.

However, Ferdinand reckons there may still be a way to afford the England skipper, naming four current players who could leave Old Trafford this summer.
Ferdinand identifies route to Kane
Speaking on his Vibe with Five podcast on YouTube, Ferdinand suggested United could generate a figure equal to what Kane could cost through player sales.
"McTominay won't have any trouble finding a club, he's a very good footballer," Ferdinand postulated.

"Harry Maguire has to look for a new option other than if he's happy to be 3rd or 4th choice. Elanga doesn't play Martial has proven he can't stay in shape."
"I think if you part with those four there's £100m at stake."
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has also been heavily linked to United, with a similar price tag touted.
Therefore, Ten Hag could use such money to launch a bid for the 24-year-old instead, should Kane become unavailable.
