Prominent transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has given an update on contract talks between Manchester United and Marcus Rashford.
The 25-year-old was selected in a centre forward role by Erik ten Hag for their clash against Nottingham Forest, a role he has played in regularly this season.
Rashford is starting his second game since his return from the World Cup, where he scored three goals for England. No Three Lions player scored more at the tournament.

After adding another goal in the Carabao Cup against Burnley on December 21, he took his form into the clash against Forest on Tuesday, netting United's opener on 19 minutes.
He met Christian Eriksen's low cross from a corner with a superb first time finish that nestled into the top corner.
Three minutes later, Rashford provided the assist for Anthony Martial to make it 2-0, with Ten Hag's side taking that scoreline into half-time.
In a timely update, Romano has given United fans even more optimism that Rashford's future remains at Old Trafford, despite recent reports claiming that PSG are interested in signing him.
Romano issues Rashford Man Utd contract update
The Red Devils activated a 12-month extension on Rashford's contract, which was due to expire in 2023, last week. Had they not done so, he would have been allowed to discuss a pre-contract agreement with European clubs from January 1.

Romano has tweeted: "Marcus Rashford, completely changed under Erik ten Hag. Fantastic numbers and clear improvement.
"Contract has been extended until June 2024 but Manchester United will meet his agents to offer new long term deal soon. Ten Hag, 'obsessed' with MR as key part of project."
Romano's final sentence will provide relief to United fans, given that Rashford has returned to top form in some style this season.
He is the club's top scorer in the Premier League this season at the time of writing, with five goals and, in addition, a further three assists to his name.
