David Ornstein claimed that Manchester United have been dealt a major transfer setback.
Erik ten Hag’s men have been in need of a new striker since the acrimonious departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Wout Weghorst was brought in on loan as a short-term option in January, but United have been tipped to sign a new forward in the summer window.

In particular, United have been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Tottenham’s Harry Kane, both of whom would allegedly cost around £100million.
However, United have been dealt a massive setback in their pursuit of the latter.
Kane to Manchester United?
Transfer guru Ornstein has claimed that Tottenham have no intention of selling Kane this summer.
The talismanic striker is nearing the final 12 months of his contract, and the Spurs hierarchy are determined to agree on new terms with the 29-year-old.

Indeed, Ornstein wrote in the Athletic that though Kane is among the options under consideration at United, Tottenham are not even contemplating a sale.
The club’s total focus is said to be on renewing the England skipper’s deal, and they are allegedly prepared to continue those efforts into next season if necessary.
While the club have entered initial dialogue with Kane, at present the matter is not said to be advanced.
Last month the Telegraph claimed Kane is desperate to win trophies, while he has also set his sights on eclipsing Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals. He is currently on 203.

Meanwhile, the report claimed United boss Erik ten Hag is a fan of Kane. Indeed, the forward scores as a hybrid No 9 and No 10, while he knows the Premier League inside out and is a strong character accustomed to dealing with pressure.
