Diogo Costa is a name that keeps “coming up” among Manchester United’s recruitment staff, it has been claimed.
On Wednesday United announced the signing of Mason Mount on a five-year contract with the option of a further year.
The 24-year-old, who is Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the summer, has cost the Old Trafford club an initial £55million, plus a possible £5million in performance-related add-ons.

Upon signing, the England international said: "Having met with the manager, and discussed his plans, I couldn't be more excited for the seasons ahead.”
Having completed the move for Mount, United will now prioritise signing a goalkeeper and striker.
Indeed, as per Sky Sports News, United have made a bid worth €45million (£38.5million) for Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana. The move is allegedly being driven by Ten Hag, who managed the Cameroonian while at Ajax.
However, the publication claims that at present, there is a gap in the valuation with Inter wanting closer to €60million (£51.4million).

Sky Sport reported reporter Dharmesh Sheth claimed Porto keeper Costa is another player that has attracted interest from United.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Sheth claimed Costa is a name that carries on being mentioned in conversations at Old Trafford.
Sheth said: "United will be looking at other keepers. Diogo Costa from Porto is a name that keeps coming up.
"David Raya from Brentford, possibly a little bit too expensive for what United believe, with him only having a year left on his contract and making it clear that he wants to leave."

Costa, who was hailed as “sensational” by journalist Karan Tejwani, has earned a reputation as a reliable shot-stopper.
Last term, the 23-year-old made 41 appearances in all competitions for Porto and in that time kept 20 clean sheets.
