Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson has been ruled out for the rest of the season, according to a fresh report.
According to the Telegraph, the shot-stopper has sustained another setback in his recovery from a thigh injury and will miss the final four matches of Nottingham Forest’s survival mission.
Henderson, who has been absent from the Forest team since the club’s 2-0 win over Leicester back in January, was hoping to be making his return before the end of the campaign. He even travelled with Steve Cooper’s squad for Saturday’s trip to Brentford.

In his place is Keylor Navas, who has shown mixed form during his first foray into English football. The three-time Champions League winner pulled off an outrageous save against Brighton last Wednesday.
However, it could be argued that Navas was at fault for both of Brentford’s late goals this weekend, that could ultimately cost the club their Premier League status.
Henderson is just the latest casualty for Forest, whose squad has been plagued by several injuries. Cooper is already without Scott McKenna, Chris Wood, Neco Williams, Willy Boly and Omar Richards for the remainder of the season.
Henderson’s Man Utd future
Henderson’s loan expires this summer, however, the 26-year-old is unlikely to play for United again.

Football Insider have claimed the 26-year-old would prefer a move away from Old Trafford rather than return as second choice to David De Gea.
De Gea, who has kept a league-high 14 clean sheets this term, is in advanced talks with United over a new contract on reduced terms.
While the Spaniard will reportedly accept a pay cut, he is set to retain his spot as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Henderson was open about his frustration at a lack of United first-team opportunities before moving to Forest.

And according to Football Insider, the England international now considers a return to United "impossible" after hearing of De Gea’s contract news.
