Man United are reportedly keen on signing AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan - and the Frenchman has already received the seal of approval from a current Red Devils star.
The Frenchman had the task of replacing Gianluigi Donnarumma when the Italian star joined PSG in the summer of 2021.
Signed from Lille for €15 million, Maignan was immediately able to install himself as Milan's new number one.
He kept a total of 17 clean sheets in his first Serie A season - more than any other goalkeeper in the division - as the Italian giants won their first Scudetto since 2011.

His manager, Stefano Pioli, has been incredibly impressed with Maignan's performances. After the Frenchman saved a penalty and made other key stops in the side's 3-2 Champions League defeat to Liverpool last season, the Italian told Prime Video (quotes via Milan News): "He is an excellent goalkeeper with great quality, and he must continue like this. He is doing well."
Now, Man United are reportedly in the market to bring the shot-stopper to England.

However, they may face competition. Tottenham are also credited with an interest in signing the goalkeeper.
Hugo Lloris turns 36 this year, meaning Spurs will be looking at potential replacements for when the Frenchman does call an end to his time in London.
The Red Devils will surely consult Maignan's international team-mates when considering whether to sign him.
He has already received huge praise from United star Raphael Varane, who has lined up alongside the goalkeeper on numerous occasions.
Maignan and Lloris currently alternate goalkeeping duties for the France senior team.

However, Maignan suffered a calf injury during Les Bleus' 2-0 win over Austria last month, and is set to miss the upcoming World Cup with another calf problem.
Speaking of his team-mate's talents last month, Varane said (quotes via Milan Reports): "Maignan is a goalkeeper who brings serenity, as well as having those skills in goal.
"He is a calm person, sure of his strengths, and it is true that, as a defender, feeling this presence behind is important.
"It's not just the potential he has, but also the presence he has on the goal."

Varane could potentially be playing in front of Maignan at club and international level soon.
