Another huge club has entered the race to sign Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes amid claims he could seek a new challenge this summer.
Fernandes has been one of the few transfer successes at United in recent years and supporters will be desperate for him to remain part of the rebuild under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
The Portugal international has scored 79 goals in 230 games for the Red Devils since joining in a £67m move from Sporting in 2020.

He was made club captain at Old Trafford last summer but has struggled to produce his best form this season amid wider problems at the club.
Erik ten Hag's side are currently eighth in the table and on course for their worst-ever finish in the Premier League era, with the club at real risk of failing to qualify for Europe next season.
Reports earlier this week claimed Fernandes may seek a move away from United after the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25.

Barcelona have been strongly linked with the 29-year-old, while Saudi clubs Al Hilal and Al Ittihad are also reportedly interested.
The Independent now claim that German giants Bayern Munich are also exploring a deal for Fernandes.
Bayern are said to believe they can get the Portuguese player 'due to increasing frustration at Manchester United'.
There is said to be a 'feeling that the Old Trafford hierarchy would be willing to do a deal, since they need to sell players in order to meet Profit and Sustainability Rule requirements'.

It is claimed that Fernandes has been 'struck by the sense of drift at Old Trafford and wants to win major trophies in the prime of his career' - opening the door for a potential transfer to the Bundesliga.
It could also have a knock-on effect for Ten Hag's future at United.
The report claims that Thomas Tuchel, one of several managers tipped to potentially replace Ten Hag at Old Trafford, could remain at Bayern if the club signs Fernandes.

That's because the Portuguese specifically fits the type of playmaker he has asked the club to sign.
While Fernandes' future remains uncertain, another United player has confirmed they will leave the club this summer.
Raphael Varane announced on Tuesday that he would depart at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The French defender has been allowed to leave following a breakdown in talks over a new contract at Old Trafford on reduced terms.

Varane is currently sidelined through injury and could miss United's final two Premier League games of the Premier League season against Newcastle and Brighton, as well as the FA Cup final against City.
