Manchester United fans laid into defender Victor Lindelof after a shaky first half against Nottingham Forest.
United went 1-0 up early on in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at the City Ground courtesy of in-form Marcus Rashford, who ran from the halfway line before opening the scoring with his 18th of the season.
Having initially looked nervous, Forest grew into the game and thought they had equalised when Sam Surridge finished a fine counter-attack by slotting past David de Gea.
However VAR, in use in the semis unlike previous rounds, ruled that Surridge was fractionally offside when he received the ball from Morgan Gibbs-White.
Lindelof didn't cover himself in glory in the passage of play and though United extended their lead through Wout Weghorst's first goal for the club, the Swedish defender was subjected to lots of criticism on social media from fans.

With captain Harry Maguire suspended, he slotted in at centre-back ahead of Raphael Varane for his first start since the 3-0 win over Bournemouth on 3 January.
But his display was unconvincing and United supporters feel he isn't good enough to play for Erik ten Hag's side.
One wrote: "Victor Lindelof is a liability."

A second said: "Victor Lindelof proving why both he and Maguire are not good enough for Man utd.
A third added: "Victor Lindelof is one of the worst defenders I’ve ever seen."
Another commented: "Victor Lindelof giving me the horrendous defense we had during Ole's reign. Such a weak and uncertain defender."
A fifth opined: "Victor Lindelof is a useless defender. VAR has just saved his ass, after that sh***y defending from him."

A sixth weighed in: "Victor Lindelof should not remain at Manchester United next season. Very average defender."
Lindelof was signed from Benfica by Jose Mourinho in 2017 and has gone on to make 209 appearances for the Red Devils.
He is contracted until 2024 but there is an option to extend for another year.
Atletico Madrid recently expressed interest in the defender at the end of 2022. But United told the Spanish club they were not willing to offload him on loan oer on a permanent transfer.
