The 28th December - a day for enjoying the final dose of Christmas football and polishing off the leftover Turkey in the fridge.
However, the date is also notable for one Dejan Lovren - whose Disney+ subscription officially came to an end today.
For those not in the know, the ex-Liverpool defender controversially cancelled his subscription to the streaming service after the company's public support for LGBTQ+ rights in Florida.

In response to Disney's strong message, Lovren took to Twitter back in April to announce that he'd cancelled his subscription to Disney+, going on to call the company "disgusting". He even ended the tweet with the hashtag #BoycottDisney, just to drive his point home.
Naturally, this out of the blue response to a pro-LGBTQ+ message didn't go down well with Liverpool fans.
It also isn't the only occasion of Lovren's personal politics drawing heavy backlash from the wider footballing world.

His most recently controversy led may Twitter users to call out the man who plays in Russia but hasn’t spoken out in support of the Ukrainian people, shared his anti-vaccination beliefs and support of people such as Nigel Farage, Donald Trump and Laurence Fox.
Athletic journalist Grace Robertson took aim at the Zenit defender on social media stating: "Dejan Lovren: antivaxxer, plays for Gazprom-owned Zenit, boycotting Disney over its criticism of homophobic laws in Florida."
Meanwhile, one Liverpool fan wrote: "Dejan Lovren played for us, a club built on socialism and acceptance of different faiths and sexualities. Sadly his right wing views were so ingrained in him that playing for a club like Liverpool didn't change his opinions. Oh well he's no longer our problem."

Suffice to say, the 33-year-old probably won't be getting an invite to a Liverpool legends match anytime soon.
Another fan of the club took to Twitter on Wednesday (29 December) to inform the world that Lovren's famed Disney+ subscription - which was annual - finally came to an end today.
It seems the Croatian defender, who reached the FIFA World Cup Semi-final with his nation earlier this month, will need to look elsewhere for his Marvel fix from now on.

Lovren hasn't played for Liverpool since 2020, officially leaving the club that summer with 131 league appearances to his name. He has since featured 50 times for Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg, where he continues to play to this day.
