Blackburn Rovers are still interested in signing young Liverpool defender Sepp Van Den Berg on loan amid a defensive injury crisis for the Championship side, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.
The Dutchman impressed during an 18-month loan spell at Preston North End and has found himself sought after by a host of clubs in the English second division.
Van Den Berg made 45 Championship appearances for Preston last season and helped guide the club to a respectable mid-table finish.

Blackburn, who currently sit 4th in the Championship, have been struggling with injuries at centre-back.
During their 2-1 win over Bradford in the Carabao Cup, Rovers had to field young Liverpool loanee Tyler Morton, who usually plays as a holding midfielder, as a makeshift centre-half.
Like Rovers, Liverpool have also been struggling with a host of injuries at centre-back and could opt to keep the 20-year-old at the club if the situation was to worsen.
The Reds are currently without Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip while they currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, after a poor start to the season.

Van Den Berg has earned a place on the bench in all of Liverpool’s opening three fixtures but Jurgen Klopp has opted against starting the youngster due to his lack of Premier League experience.
The German manager selected Nat Phillips for Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace but the English defender, who also looks set for a loan spell, came under fire for a somewhat lacklustre performance against Patrick Viera’s men.
With everyone fit, Van Den Berg would currently sit 6th in the pecking order but with the combination of injuries and Liverpool’s poor start to the season, the Dutchman could earn himself some gametime if he decides to persevere in Merseyside.
The Reds will be hoping to avoid a repeat of the 2020/21 season, where they almost failed to make top 4 due to an injury crisis that saw Klopp field 10 different centre-back combinations.
