Liverpool transfer target and Sporting Liston star Matheus Nunes believes a switch to England is likely this summer.
The midfielder has made 74 appearances for the Portuguese side, scoring 6 goals.
Liverpool aren’t alone in pursuing Nunes, however. According to Correio da Manha, he believes Chelsea or Wolves could also move for him ‘at any minute.’

Nunes is a player who has attracted the attention of many a potential suitor this summer after an impressive season with Sporting.
The 23-year-old operates as something of a deep-lying playmaker, and would be brought in to compete with Thiago Alcantara if he were to join Liverpool.
Sporting rate Nunes at roughly £30 million, and he isn’t a player who’d demand a particularly high wage. This will attract Liverpool given their stringent salary structure.
The Reds are also reportedly ready to break the bank to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, but he isn’t available for transfer this summer.

In order to sign the Englishman, the Reds are willing to wait until summer 2023. It is believed by then Dortmund will be ready part ways with Bellingham.
If Bellingham does join Liverpool, he’d likely play in the box-to-box role on the right-hand side of Jürgen Klopp’s midfield three.
On the left side of that engine room, Klopp tends to deploy his chosen midfielder in that role a little differently.
In this position, Klopp looks for a profile of midfielder who prefers to sit a little deeper and contribute to his side’s build up play.

Nunes would be well suited to such a task, and signing him would thus not impact the Bellingham pursuit.
Adjusting to the Premier League after a move from Portugal is never easy, but Liverpool are in a position where they can give Nunes time.
It’d likely take the Portuguese midfielder a fair while to displace Thiago Alcantara, and until he does, he can learn a lot from the Spaniard.
With Liverpool’s engine room ageing, signing Nunes would mark the beginning of the much need midfield evolution at Anfield.

But if the Reds are to get their man, they’ll need to be prompt, with Wolves and Chelsea ready to pounce at any moment.
