Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has responded to rumours linking former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane with a move to Liverpool and Manchester United.
Sane, who now resides in Munich after signing for the German champions in 2020, played 135 times for Pep Guardiola's side, amassing 39 goals and 45 assists.
Writing in his latest column for CaughtOffside, Romano stated:

“I’m aware that there’s growing talk of Leroy Sane being targeted by the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United, but I wouldn’t get too excited about it just yet.”
“So far, Bayern have no intention of selling Leroy Sane. Robert Lewandowski has just left and more solutions will be needed throughout the season."

"It will be a tough deal for any club, and there are no offers on the Bayern table yet.”
The initial reports in Spanish outlet Nacional stated Sane was considering a move away due to the arrival of Sadio Mane from Liverpool.
There are concerns his game time would be significantly reduced and a fee of around £46m could see him leave the club.
However, Romano believes the German does not have to worry about his place in Bayern's side:

“I believe that without Lewandowski in the team, Sane could have a bigger role and improve on what has been a slightly disappointing spell with the Bavarian giants so far."
Moreover, having already spent a club record £85 million on Uruguayan Darwin Nunez, it is unlikely that Klopp's side would be willing to spend so much for another forward.
