Former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell has urged Liverpool to sign Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane this summer.
The tricky winger tormented Premier League defences in his time with Manchester City, and after joining Bayern Munich in 2020, he has won two Bundesliga titles, a Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
This season he has fallen out of favour with manager Julian Nagelsmann, with the coach preferring Kingsley Coman on the left-hand side.

As the Bavarians play a 4-2-3-1 and Jamal Musiala, Sadio Mane and Thomas Muller are practically undroppable, it’s between Coman, Sane and Serge Gnabry for the final spot.
He’s valued at £54m by Transfermarkt, and has three years left on his contract, but Campbell believes Liverpool should make the move for him. Speaking to Football Insider, he said:
“I think there is room for Leroy Sane at Liverpool. We all know that is all about the squad these days."
"There is going to be injuries, loss of form and back-to-back league and Champions League games. You need to be able to flip your squad so everybody is fresh."

“If it was Diaz one game and Sane the next… I’m sure Liverpool fans would be happy with that."
"Many teams would love that strength in depth, let’s be honest. I think it would be a smart move to go for Sane."
“When you look at the way City are, their bench is phenomenal. It is incredible the strength in depth they have."
"You need to match that to compete with them. It is frightening. With five subs it can make a huge difference.”

Sane made habit of scoring against the Reds, netting four against them in his time at Manchester City - including two in a 5-0 win in 2017/18.
He also scored the winner in Liverpool’s only loss of the 2018/19 season, in which City claimed the title by just a point.
Sane would definitely be an interesting addition to Klopp’s armoury, but at such a high price, you struggle to see how the deal happens.
