Jurgen Klopp opened up about Liverpool’s transfer plans after news broke the club had pulled out of the race to sign Jude Bellingham.
Earlier this week it emerged that the Reds had ended the pursuit of Bellingham due to the transfer fee required to sign the England international.
While Liverpool had reportedly identified the 19-year-old as their number one target for the summer, he will likely cost north of £100million.

Considering the rebuild required at Anfield, with the club languishing in eighth in the Premier League, some 12 points adrift of the top four, Liverpool allegedly want to spread their resources rather than use their budget up on one player.
Klopp has his say on Bellingham
In his pre-match presser, Klopp broke his silence on this week's speculation regarding Bellingham.
The Liverpool boss said: "There's nothing to say about it to be honest.

"So if I don't speak about players we sign or don't sign, why would we know speak about this kind of speculation and this kind of news.
"So there's really nothing to say about it."
The German added: "It's not about Jude Bellingham now what I'm about to say. Definitely not.

"But I never understood why we constantly talk about things we theoretically can't have, like we can't have six players in the summer for £100m (each).
"You have to realise what you can do and then you have to work with that. We are not children - you wouldn't say as a five-year-old at Christmas you want a Ferrari. Whatever we need and want we try absolutely everything to get it but there are moments when you have to accept it's not possible and step aside and do different stuff"
