Recently, Liverpool legend and fan favourite José Enrique took to Twitter to reveal his wish for Harry Kane to play for his beloved reds, describing the Tottenham centre forward as “very underrated” and “one of the best strikers in the world”. He stated that Kane's lack of trophies at club level criminally overshadow his footballing ability.
Enrique’s lust for the Tottenham number 10 came as Kane scored his 50th England goal in just 71 caps for his country, becoming the fastest player in England history to reach the pivotal landmark of half a century of goals. Kane is now only 3 goals behind the all time England topscorer Wayne Rooney.
Overall, Kane has had another outstanding season for Spurs, totting up an impressive 17 goals and 9 assists in 37 games while his teammate and fellow forward Son Heung-Min bagged 23 goals in 35 games. Son’s incredible season in 2021/22 may have led to Enrique describing Kane as ‘underrated’ as much of the attention has been on the clubs South Korean winger as he claimed the Premier League Golden Boot alongside Mohamed Salah. Despite this, Harry Kane sits fifth in the Premier League all time topscorers list with 183 goals.

Furthermore, José Enrique’s wish for a consistent and powerful forward man comes as speculation surrounds the club over whether key players are leaving Anfield this summer. Mané looks to be on the verge of signing a deal with Bayern Munich and similarly Salah looks ever the more likely to be joining Barcelona on a lucrative deal when his contract expires next year.
