Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino could be set for a surprise move to Major League Soccer when he leaves Liverpool at the end of the season, according to a new report.
The Brazilian informed the Reds' manager Jurgen Klopp last week that he would be leaving Anfield when his current contract expires in June.
It brings an end to his eight-year stay at the club having joined from Hoffenheim back in 2015.

The arrival of Darwin Nunez last summer and Cody Gakpo in January has seen Firmino's game time limited, which could perhaps be a reason behind his decision to move on.
Despite this, he appeared and scored in Liverpool's 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United to the delight of fans, and was given a standing ovation.
Where will Firmino go next?
There has been a lot of speculation about his next destination, and one club who have reportedly thrown their hat into the ring is MLS side St Louis City.

According to journalist Tom Bogert, as reported in The Sun, the American club who joined the MLS for the first time this year are interested in Firmino.
It would be a surprise move for him to make, as he still possesses the quality to be playing in one of Europe's top leagues and the Champions League, although the MLS continues to grow in reputation.
Firmino might have featured less this season, partially due to injury, but he's still made 19 Premier League appearances and been directly involved in 12 goals which is an impressive record.

LAFC are said to be another MLS club looking to bolster their attack by signing him, and whilst the lavish lifestyle on the Californian coast could help convince him, lucrative offers from six European clubs may sound more attractive.
If he ends up moving to a club playing European football, then he could end up playing against his former side.
It's clear how much Liverpool means to him, and he sent a heartfelt message to supporters on Instagram following the win over rivals United.
