Liverpool are set to make a significant decision on the extension of Roberto Firmino's contract with the club, according to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg.
Firmino's existing Anfield deal expires this summer, and both parties have been in talks over renewing it.
The Brazilian has previously been reported to be interested in staying at Liverpool, and Klopp has said similar publicly over theplayer's future.

He has nine goals for the Reds in 20 games this season, and has been a key player for Klopp's side when available. However, he has been out through injury since December, meaning he hasn't played since before the World Cup. During his absence, Liverpool have struggled for form, and only completed the signing of one senior player in January - left-sided forward Cody Gakpo from PSV.
Speaking to Sky Germany on Wednesday, Firmino's agent, Roger Wittmann, gave the latest update on his client's future: "It's a very long relationship between Roberto and Liverpool. Roberto feels good. At the moment, we're in a great exchange, and in February we'll probably know where the journey is going.
"But Roberto also has to have a say in order to reach an agreement with Liverpool. We're on the right track. We're having really good talks with Liverpool. They're a superbly positioned club."
And amid reports from Foot Mercato that Real Madrid are interested in the 31-year-old on a pre-contract, Plettenburg claims a decision from Firmino will come soon - and he appears set to remain at Anfield.
Liverpool set to announce Firmino contract decision
The Sky Germany reporter tweeted: "As reported [Firmino] is on verge to extend at Liverpool, as his agent confirms at Sky.

"Decision soon. Usually he wanted to sign a new contract until 2025."
If the contract is officially signed and announced by Liverpool, it will take Firmino to nearly 10 years as a Reds player, should he stay at the club for the duration of the contract.
Signed by Brendan Rodgers in 2015, the Brazilian began life at Anfield briefly as an attacking midfielder, before being converted to a central striker in a false nine-style role under Klopp.
He has since become a key part of Liverpool's team, playing as both the main striker, and more often in recent seasons, behind the main striker, depending on the system Klopp employs.

Firmino will hope to add to the 107 goals he has scored in 348 Liverpool games in all competitions this season, and beyond if he does sign on the dotted line to extend his contract.
