Liverpool are keen to hold on to Caoimhin Kelleher for at least another year before they allow the number two goalkeeper to leave the club.
Kelleher has played second fiddle to Alisson Becker for two years now and has managed 17 appearances for the Reds after joining their academy aged 17.
The Irishman played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup victory in the 2021/22 campaign, keeping a clean sheet in the final against Chelsea and then scoring the decisive penalty in the 11-10 shoot-out.

Although the 23-year-old has been linked with a move away this summer, reliable journalist James Pearce, who covers the Merseyside club for The Athletic, has ruled out any potential switch for the goalkeeper in this window.
“Caoimhin Kelleher is developing into a fantastic goalkeeper,” Pearce wrote.
“He will undoubtedly be a number one at the top level in the coming years but Liverpool want to hold on to him as long as possible because he’s a brilliant deputy for Alisson.
“It was a smart move by Klopp giving him the honour of starting in the Carabao Cup final and that faith was rewarded.

“Kelleher is still only 23 so hopefully it will be another year at least before he moves on."
"The goalkeeping department will have a new look to it this season with Marcelo Pitaluga loaned out and Loris Karius having left on a free. Adrian, Klopp’s third choice, has one more year on his contract.”
At just 23, Kelleher may feel one more year of development, learning from one of the World’s best in between the sticks in Allison, will be beneficial to him in the long-term.

With an additional season under his belt, his reputation and ability will be further enhanced and he should be able to secure a good move in 2023.
Alongside making sure their number two commits a final year to the club, Liverpool are eager to find solutions to two more players' futures in this window.
Naby Keita has 12 months left on his deal, while Joe Gomez has two years remaining but has been linked with a move to Aston Villa.
Klopp is keen to tie both down to new contracts.
