Jurgen Klopp gives three-word response when fan asks him if he wants Arsenal to win the Premier League

Jurgen Klopp gives three-word response when fan asks him if he wants Arsenal to win the Premier League

He's made his opinion crystal clear.

Jurgen Klopp has made his opinion on the Premier League title race crystal clear after being asked by an Arsenal fan who he wants to win.

Liverpool damaged Arsenal's chances of ending the season as champions after holding the league leaders to a 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday.

The Gunners had looked on course for their first league win at Liverpool since 2012 after Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus gave them a two-goal lead early in the match.

But Mohamed Salah pulled out back for Liverpool just before the break to set up a mouth-watering second half.

Liverpool dominated play after the interval and deservedly equalised late on through Roberto Firmino after Salah had missed a penalty earlier in the half.

Arsenal are now just six points ahead of title challengers Manchester City, who have played one game less – with the two teams due to meet at the Etihad on April 26.

Klopp has his say on the Premier League title race

After the draw with Liverpool, Arsenal supporter and AFTV host Cecil Jee Thomas approached Klopp who was speaking to fans outside Anfield while sat in his car.

"Would you like to see us win the league, Arsenal, or not?," Thomas asked Klopp, prompting a big grin from the Liverpool boss.

"The best team," Klopp replied.

After shaking hands with the Liverpool manager, Thomas shared a laugh with AFTV founder Robbie Lyle, who replied: "He's talking about us!"

Speaking to the media after the draw, Klopp rued his side's slow start to the match but said they deserved to claim at least a point against the league leaders.

"We were part of a spectacular football game because we were good for an hour," said Klopp.

"OK but conceding in the first half an hour and then good, and we should have won the game - but we didn't - against the team in form, flying.

"They are 2-0 up, anything can happen today and it didn't because of us and that's fine."

Liverpool face Leeds away from home next Monday, while Arsenal travel to take on London rivals West Ham on Sunday.
