Jamie Carragher has explained why he believes Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham would be an ideal fit for Liverpool.
Bellingham has long been linked with a move to the Reds ever since he broke into the Birmingham City academy at the age of 16.
Now 19, the midfielder is already a regular England international, and a star player in the Dortmund team after completing a £25 million move from St. Andrew's in the summer of 2020.
The latest reports from SPORT reporter Patrik Berger is that Dortmund want €150 million for the player, with Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Man City all interested. He also claims that the Reds have 'good chances' of winning the race to sign Bellingham.

That is despite a report from The Times last month, which claimed Klopp's side were unwilling to pay over €100m to bring him to Anfield.
Carragher, however, believes that the 19-year-old is a player that Liverpool must sign, given their struggles in the Premier League this term.
The Reds are currently in eighth place and seven points off the top four places - although they do have a game in hand on fourth-placed Tottenham, who they defeated 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Carragher wants Liverpool to sign Jude Bellingham
Speaking on the latest edition of The Overlap Fan Debate, Carragher explained: "The issue [with Liverpool this season] is that they don't have the energy to play a full game at the intensity they've played at in previous seasons.
"Teams are now matching their energy, but this isn't something that Liverpool has adapted. The Arsenal game was a fine example of this, when they played Liverpool off the pitch in the second half, and that is why I can see Liverpool spending up to £200m on their midfield in the summer.

"Jude Bellingham would be the perfect fit, but he would be a lot of money. When Liverpool have spent big money in the past, it's been on the goalkeeper [Alisson] and Virgil van Dijk, who were bought in at great age profiles.
"Signing Jude Bellingham would be for a lot of money, but it would get to two years down the line and people would see it as a bargain.
"At his age, you'd have him for at least five seasons before he'd move on, which is a great investment for the club."
