Liverpool will be able to challenge for the Premier League title again if they make just two major signings, according to former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour.
Liverpool came close to winning an unprecedented quadruple last season but fell just short in the Premier League and Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp's side have suffered a dramatic decline in form this season and have struggled for consistency throughout the campaign.

The Reds have won just five of their 13 league games so far this season and already find themselves 15 points behind table toppers Arsenal.
Liverpool are also seven points adrift of the top four and are now at real risk of missing out on Champions League football next season.
However, Parlour believes it would take just two signings to transform Liverpool back into a side capable of challenging for the league title.
Liverpool told to sign Rice and Bellingham
Parlour claims the additions of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham would reinvigorate the Reds.

Discussing the possibility of his former club making a move for Rice, Parlour told talkSPORT: “I don’t think they will have that sort of money.
“I think [Youri] Tielemans is coming to the end of his contract, isn’t he? So you might be able to get him for a little bit cheaper than Declan Rice.
“I am amazed, that’s where Liverpool need to go and try and get Declan Rice.

“Imagine getting Bellingham and Rice, that could be where they challenge for the title again.”
Where will the England pair end up?
A number of other clubs have been linked with a move for Bellingham, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, United and Chelsea are also said to be admirers of England international Rice.

Both West Ham and Dortmund are in strong negotiating positions, however, with Rice under contract with the Hammers until 2024 and Bellingham only recently signing a new deal with his club until 2025.
For now, the focus for both players remains on their respective clubs and the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, with the two midfielders named in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad for the tournament.
