Liverpool have the worst injury record in the entire league, a new study has revealed.
The Reds have endured a tumultuous season. On Saturday Mohamed Salah missed a penalty as Liverpool suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth, a result which saw the Cherries climb out of the relegation zone and compromised the Reds’ chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Liverpool were very much brought down to earth having thrashed bitter rivals Manchester United 7-0 just six days earlier.

Klopp’s side are now languishing in sixth place, some six points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur in the final Champions League spot, albeit with a game in hand.
Meanwhile, they have long been eliminated from both domestic cup competitions while their Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread.
The Reds travel to the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday hoping to overturn reigning champions Real Madrid’s 5-2 first leg lead.
While Liverpool have underwhelmed on several occasions this season, their injury record has been a contributing factor to their underperformance.
Liverpool’s injury record
According to The Times and Premier League Injuries, Liverpool players have missed far more Premier League games through injury than anyone else.

That is by far the worst injury record in the division, with Chelsea a place ahead of the Reds. Indeed, Graham Potter’s men have collectively missed 124 games through injury this term.
The team least affected by injury are high flying Brighton, with their players having been absent from just 46 Premier League games collectively.
Meanwhile, title-chasing Manchester City have seen their players miss just 49 games to injury.
