A Liverpool fan has boldly claimed that Manchester United won’t win a Premier League title for over 30 years and called the club “rotten to the core.”
United have failed to capture English football’s top prize since Sir Alex Ferguson led the Red Devils to the Premier League title in the 2012-13 season.
The Red Devils have subsequently finished second on two occasions -- once under Jose Mourinho and another under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer -- after Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
However, United have sacked four managers since their 20th league title triumph, with the club appearing miles away from mounting a successful Premier League title challenge.
Liverpool endured a three-decade wait until Reds manager Jurgen Klopp captured the Premier League title in the 2019-20 season.
Now, one Reds fan wagered a £500 bet with United supporter and talkSPORT host Andy Goldstein that the Red Devils will have to wait longer for a league title than Liverpool.
“I will make you a £500 bet that Man United will wait longer for a league title than we do,” he told talkSPORT.

The Liverpool supporter added: “Honestly, your club is absolutely rotten to the core.”
The Reds fan claimed that Liverpool challenged for the league title during their long drought, despite falling short under Rafa Benitez and Brendan Rodgers.
However, he added that Liverpool were able to turn the tide after they received investment and now look like a “whole different club.”
When addressing Liverpool’s difficulties from 1990 until 2020, the fan said: “Since 1990 -- or 1989 when we last won it -- from then until we actually won it, how many title-winning teams did we have?
“We had one with [Gerard] Houllier and we probably had a couple after that with maybe Rafa [Benitez] and then with [Brendan] Rodgers.

“But, you know, Chelsea went through [it] with [Roman] Abramovich, City went through [it], United had Fergie, Arsenal had [Arsene] Wenger with [Thierry] Henry, [Patrick] Vieira, [Dennis] Bergkamp.
“So we were struggling, and we didn’t have the investment, but since we’ve had the investment we look like a whole different club.
“You guys [United] have got the wrong owners, you’ve had some of the best managers there that can’t get anything out of them players, you spend money like it’s [going out of fashion].”
