Liverpool fan favourite Fabinho’s decline “is worrying”, a top journalist has claimed.
The Red’s have been well below their extremely high standards in the Premier League this term.
Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit in a measly eighth place, while last weekend’s dismal 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest ensured that the club had already lost more games than they did in the whole of the last campaign.

Indeed, a source of great concern for Liverpool’s backroom staff will be the form of Brazilian defensive midfielder Fabinho.
The 29-year-old is central to Liverpool’s game both with and without the ball; he has been dubbed “the lighthouse” by assistant manager Pep Lijnders on account of his ability to always be in the right position, guiding his team mates through the game.
Meanwhile, Klopp calls Fabinho “Dyson”, given the holding midfielder’s ability to clean up any mess his teammates might have made on the pitch.

But this season has been different. Fabinho looks lethargic, while he’s losing the ball more and winning it back less frequently.
Journalist Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT that Fabinho’s form may have been affected by the number of knocks and injuries he’s experienced in his career.
Jones said: “The decline is worrying and it's been pretty rapid considering the impact and influence he was having on games, compared to what we're seeing now.

“I don't think he's the only midfielder in the world that's having this problem right now, I think it's just that his situation is probably more high profile.
“The number of games, the amount of training sessions, the number of minutes in his legs, the little knocks that you pick up, undoubtedly, are catching up with him a little bit.”
Elsewhere, TalkSPORT pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor was scathing of the 28-cap Brazil international after last weekend's game at Forest.
Meanwhile, on Monday Night Football Jamie Carragher questioned ‘what is going on with Fabinho?’
