However, valuable minutes were picked up by their returning stars during their first pre-season match, and they’ll be hoping for a better performance tomorrow against Palace.

Nuñez will be hoping to start Friday’s game rather than come off the bench and make a bit of a better impression than he did against United.

Goalkeeper Sam Johnson has joined the club from West Brom on a free transfer, while midfielder Cheick Doucoure and forward Malcolm Ebiowei have also been added to the Palace ranks.
Liverpool head into the fixture with an almost fully fit squad.
Diogo Jota is set to miss out after a setback in his hamstring injury recovery, Alisson Becker is a doubt, while new signing Calvin Ramsay remains unavailable and yet to train with the Liverpool squad.

The game will represent Liverpool’s final stop on their tour of Asia. They will then return to Europe to play RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg in friendly matches in Germany and Austria.
