Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has given his verdict on the future of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at Liverpool.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has had mixed fortunes since arriving at Anfield from Arsenal for £35 million back in 2017.
Despite showing flashes of brilliance, he has been plagued by persistent injuries and missed almost the entirety of the 2018/19 campaign due to a cruciate ligament rupture suffered against AS Roma in the previous season.

Despite these issues, the 28-year-old has still managed 133 appearances for the Merseyside club, scoring 17 goals.
The midfielder also played a part in the club’s success in recent years, winning the Premier League, the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

However, with 12 months remaining on his contract in the North West, following a season where he managed just 17 League appearances, he may feel the time is right to move on.
Speaking to Football Insider, former Arsenal and Everton frontman Campbell suggested that the England International should stay at Liverpool for the upcoming season as he believes the player could still play a major role for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The TalkSport pundit said: “He is at Liverpool so he has got a chance. We all know that talent wise, he is brilliant. Nobody can question his talent.

“His availability has been the problem. When he does get a chance in the team he needs to take it. You have to. That is the level at Liverpool now.
“If you go in and coast, you are not going to chance. If you are not starting you are not realistically playing."

"The fact of the matter is, he has used his brain. He has gone into the close season, got super fit and is ready to start pre-season well."
“Why not have a right go at it? He has nothing to lose now."
"Have a right go at it and leave nothing on the side."
"If it doesn’t work out at least he can say he tried everything."
