Another day, another Lisandro Martinez compilation. This time, the classy Argentine produced a defensive masterclass against Spurs as Manchester United ran away with all three points.
Erik ten Hag's side were the better side throughout. Antony, Casemiro and that man Martinez – all signings from this summer's window – impressed for the Reds, while Bruno Fernandes scooped the man-of-the-match award for his efforts.
In fact, it was arguably their best performance of the season to date, as second-half goals from Fred and Fernandes sealed an important win for United, who sit in fifth – eight points behind league leaders Arsenal.
Slowly but surely, United are getting back on track after years of disappointment. And without doubt, the £57m arrival of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax this summer has played a role in their recent revival.

The 24-year-old centre-back has formed a solid partnership with four-time Champions League winner Raphael Varane this season. In fact, the pair have notched seven wins and five clean sheets when they've started together.
Despite doubts over his size and stature, the Argentine has looked at home in large spells this season. His distribution from the back is crucial to how Ten Hag wants United to play going forward.
And as you can see from the compilation below, Martinez's positional awareness and aggression on the ball stopped Harry Kane and Son Heung-min from creating any dangerous opportunities on Wednesday night.

Earlier this week, left-back Luke Shaw heaped praise on the Argentine after his "unbelievable" start to life at Old Trafford.
"He has been unbelievable, to be honest," he said. "You can see everyone loves him. The fans love him.
"His left foot is unbelievable. I think it always helps when you play with a left-footer on the side because he naturally likes to come out to that side, and I think he has fitted in really well. Of course, he can keep getting better and better, but for me so far, he has been unbelievable this season.
"He needs to keep that up. His aggression, his passion, we need him in that backline. He brings that every game. I am really pleased to have him in the team."

Martinez certainly has plenty of fans in the United squad. Earlier this month, Victor Lindelof was full of praise for his fellow defender.
"He [Lisandro Martinez] is a fantastic player, he’s very good with the ball," the Swede said. “I’ve played two games with him now and we did great."
Thoughts on Martinez's impact at United since his arrival?
