Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo dominated football for the last 15 years, however, there is an Olympic athlete who is worth more than both combined.
Messi and Ronaldo are two of the greatest players in football history. In turn, they have raked in eye-watering sums of money through lucrative sponsorship deals and mammoth wages.
Yet despite the pair’s riches, their net worths are still dwarfed by an obscure Danish dressage rider - Anna Kasprzak.
Who is Anna Kasprzak?
Kasprzak represented Denmark at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

Indeed, in London, she even narrowly missed out on a bronze medal having finished fourth in the team competition.
However, outside dressage, she is relatively unknown but happens to be one of the most affluent sportspeople on the planet.
The 33-year-old has an estimated net worth of $1billion (£800million), which unsurprisingly, is not owed to her sporting success.
Along with her brother Andre and mother Hanni, Kasprzak owns a popular Danish shoe manufacturer ECCO.
The company, of which Kasprzak is on the supervisory board, has products that are sold in 90 countries worldwide as well as over 2,200 shops and an online presence.

Meanwhile, Kasprzak also operates a private dressage barn in Haderslev, Denmark.
All of that means she is worth more than Messi and Ronaldo combined, despite the pair’s global profile.
Messi and Ronaldo net worths
Messi, who lifted the World Cup for Argentina in December, is said to be worth $600million (£480million).

Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s fortune is thought to be closer to the £400million mark.
According to Forbes Messi takes home some £95.5million-a-year due to his Paris Saint-Germain contract and endorsements. The 35-year-old has a branded shop in the Barcelona, his own clothing line and a lifelong deal with Adidas.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has various sponsorships, including a lifetime partnership with Nike, plus deals with Herbalife, Tag Heuer and Clear Haircare.
The Portugal international enjoyed a significant boost in earnings at the turn of the year when he signed a £172 million-per-year contract with Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
