LeBron James has confirmed his latest clothing collaboration with Liverpool after he was seen wearing a special edition kit on arrival to a Los Angeles Lakers NBA game.
Back in 2011, James and business partner Maverick Carter bought a two per cent stake in Liverpool for £4.7 million. In the same year, Fenway Sports Group bought the club for £300 million.
In March 2021, James turned his stake in Liverpool into a one per cent share in FSG’s global empire, as well as the Premier League club, FSG also owns the Boston Red Sox, the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team, 80% of New England Sports Network and half of Roush Fenway Racing.
In the last few weeks, there have been pictures of an apparent special edition Liverpool kit being leaked across different social media platforms.
