Toni Kroos gives brutal four-word answer when asked what he'd change about Ballon d'Or after Vinicius Jr snub

Toni Kroos gives brutal four-word answer when asked what he'd change about Ballon d'Or after Vinicius Jr snub

Kroos has made his feelings clear.

Toni Kroos has made his feelings extremely clear with his reaction to the 2024 Ballon d'Or result as Vinicius Jr was snubbed in favour of Spain midfielder Rodri.

Rodri was named this year's Ballon d'Or winner in Paris on Monday evening, however, the event was shrouded in controversy after favourite Vinicius Jr refused to turn up to the ceremony.

Vinicius reportedly held a huge party on Sunday and had planned to gift his Real Madrid teammates a Rolex following his victory, until it was revealed to him he hadn't won the award.

Following Rodri's crowning moment, the Madrid winger responded on social media as he posted on X: "I'll do it 10x if I have to. They're not ready."

Since the ceremony, countless players have come out against France Football, with Vini's international teammate Richarlison claiming via Instagram: "Vini not winning this Ballon d'Or was embarrassing, and the only thing that lost today was football."

The recently retired Toni Kroos also made comment on the decision to snub his former Madrid teammate as he rather satirically replied to a post confirming the results.

"Where do we start? [laughing emoji]," Kroos commented on Instagram.

It's fair to say the German appeared far from impressed with the result, however, he did pay thanks to those who voted after it was confirmed he finished ninth in the overall rankings.

Kroos posted on X: "Wow. Thanks a lot."

The 34-year-old retired from football over the summer, with his last game being Germany's defeat to Spain in the quarter-final of Euro 2024.
