Dani Carvajal has risked angering Cristiano Ronaldo after his recent comments about he and Lionel Messi.
Carvajal spent five years playing with Ronaldo at Real Madrid, winning four Champions League trophies.
He saw the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's greatness in the flesh, and has also came up with against Lionel Messi both in La Liga and the Champions League.

But despite having only played with Ronaldo, the Spanish right-back does not feel an allegiance to the Al Nassr star when it comes to the age-old debate between them.
Carvajal described the duo as "monsters" and spoke about the innate qualities both possess.
Despite Messi recently pulling clear with Ballon d'Ors, believes they are on the same level and cannot be separated.

He told Daniel Habif: “Messi or Ronaldo? I put them on the same level. I don’t prefer one over the other. They are monsters in every sense of the word, and I could not choose neither this, nor that. I think they are very different.
"Messi is a player who is able to go back, receive the ball, and create attacks, and then he can participate in the play and create. Cristiano is a monster at scoring goals, attacking the area, and finishing. If they were playing together, they would have been a bomb. And it would have been interesting to see.”
Carvajal's comments, which might not sit too well with Ronaldo, come after NFL legend Tom Brady was asked to choose between the iconic pair.

At Dana White's Power Slap event in Las Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl, YouTuber iShowSpeed asked Brady to pick between Messi and Ronaldo.
But although he has met Ronaldo back in 2022, the former New England Patriots quarterback struggled to provide a proper answer
He said, "I can't pick between them two," - which prompted gasps from Speed, Adin Ross and Kai Cenat.
