Carlo Ancelotti's future has taken a massive U-turn as he is now considering taking a shock new job despite links with the Brazilian national team.
Following their exit from Champions League at the hands of Arsenal earlier this month, reports began circulating claiming that Ancelotti would be leaving his job as the club's manager by the end of the season.
It's not yet known where the Italian manager will go next, but he has been heavily linked with taking the Brazilian national team job ahead of the 2026 World Cup in North America.

But now, a new report has linked Ancelotti with a surprising new role and put serious doubts over claims that he would take over as the manager of Brazil.
Previous reports had suggested that Ancelotti would part ways with Real Madrid shortly after their Copa del Rey final match with rivals Barcelona.
It now appears that this isn't the case as, in the wake of the 3-2 loss to Hansi Flick's side, Ancelotti remains in charge at Real Madrid, leaving questions about his future at the club unanswered.

However, according to Spanish outlet Marca, this is because Ancelotti made a last minute u-turn on his decision to join Brazil after travelling to London on Monday to sign his contract with the five-time World Cup winners.
Despite initially reassuring that he would sign his contract on Tuesday, they report that Ancelotti has now decided against taking over as Brazil manager and has informed Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the Brazilian federation, of his decision.
Instead, it is now believed that Ancelotti could stay at Real Madrid throughout the Club World Cup, and will not take on a new job until August, with him said to be considering a huge offer to manage in the Saudi Pro League.

The Saudi Arabian contract would reportedly see the 65-year-old earn a breathtaking €50million (£42m) per season, making him comfortably the highest paid manager of all time.
Later reports from SportsZone have claimed Al Hilal are the Saudi Pro League side that are pursuing Ancelotti's signature, as they hope to use him as a key asset to convince Madrid star Vinicius Jr to join them in a €800m (£680.18m) deal in the summer.
