Liverpool will have to battle with some of Europe’s biggest clubs in order to secure the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to The Athletic.
The Reds have been endlessly linked with the England international this summer, but with Dortmund recently letting Erling Haaland join Manchester City, they are reluctat e to lose two stars in such a short space of time.
This has left Jurgen Klopp eagerly anticipating next year's transfer window.

It is widely expected that the Reds will make a move for Bellingham as soon as the opportunity arises and they are reportedly willing to spend ‘significant amounts’ to sign the youngster.
Bellingham has made an astounding 133 senior appearances at the ripe age of 19 years old and is described by many as mature for his age.

His maturity could put him in contention to be a future captain in Merseyside, with Jordan Henderson beginning to hit the twilight years of his career.
But Liverpool will face serious competition from the likes of Real Madrid in order to secure Bellingham’s signature.
Renowned journalist James Pearce had this to say whilst writing in a Q&A for The Athletic:
“I don’t think signing Bellingham is a given.”

“There will be serious competition but LFC will be right in the mix.”
“We know Klopp rates him very highly. We also know that Henderson gets on very well with him.
“But there are no guarantees."
The Reds injury list continues to grow and despite Klopp suggesting that the club are in no desperate need of a midfielder, many fans have been crying out for some new faces in the middle of the park.

Guinea international Naby Keita is set to face a spell on the sidelines once again, having missed Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United through injury.
Having already splashed £85 million on Darwin Nunez, it is unlikely that the Reds will bring Bellingham in this window, but it would come as no surprise to see Klopp bring in another midfielder before the window shuts.
