Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with a surprise approach for Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich, it has been claimed.
A costly late-season loss of form has seen Arsenal fall short in their attempt to claim their first Premier League title in 19 years.
Yet, fresh from having secured Bukayo Saka to a new contract, the Gunners will be busy in the summer transfer market in a bid to close the gap with Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have endured a topsy-turvy trophy-less campaign that will likely see them finish in a Europa League spot.
In turn, Jurgen Klopp has been tipped to bring in several reinforcements in the summer, with the midfield in particular, a position set to be addressed.
The club have been linked to Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo, Conor Gallagher and Mason Mount in the past few months alone.
And Liverpool fans can now add Kimmich to the score of names reportedly on Klopp’s wishlist.
Arsenal and Liverpool want Kimmich?
According to Spanish publication Marca, Barcelona are eyeing up Bayern Munich’s Kimmich, but face competition from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The German international is one of the finest midfielders in Europe, while he can also operate as a right-back.
Indeed, he has played 32 times in the Bundesliga this term, netting five goals and claiming six assists, while across his eight-year Bayern career, he has been central to seven Bundesliga crowns and a Champions League.
However, the 28-year-old was allegedly angered by Julian Nagelsmann’s sacking back in March and is said to be seeking a new challenge.
Kimmich still has two years left on his current deal but has not yet given any indication that he is willing to sign an extension.

Beyond Liverpool and Arsenal, Premier League champions City, who are on course for a historic treble, are also said to be keeping tabs on Kimmich.
