Manchester City fans have denounced Joao Cancelo after he celebrated Erling Haaland's penalty miss against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Cancelo, sent on loan to Bayern from City in January after growing unhappy with his post-World Cup gametime, started against his parent club in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.
The Portugal international had been booed by City fans who supported him just months previously, when he came on as a late substitute in the 3-0 first leg loss.
And he riled up the Blues faithful even further at the Allianz Arena with his reaction to Haaland's spot-kick in the first half.

One came in strongly, writing: "I officially hate this Cancelo. Sell him asap."
A second said: "Cancelo, once you finish your loan spell your going straight to China. Tf you celebrating more than actual Bayern players for."
A third added: "He’s dead to me, get him out of my club."

Another fumed: "Anyone else see cancelo celebrating our penalty miss wow, what a snake there is know way he is coming back after that!!!"
A final user commented: "Cancelo celebrating that penalty miss.. We just need to sell this fraud."
Ironically, Cancelo could be entitled to a Champions League winners' medal if City go on to win the competition.
Haaland made amends for his penalty miss with a 48th goal of the season to finish the tie, before Joshua Kimmich grabbed a late consolation from 12 yards to make it 4-1 on aggregate.
