IShowSpeed is seemingly clutching at every straw he can get his hands on in order to say he’s met Cristiano Ronaldo.
The influencer has been scouring the streets of Manchester and the rest of the UK in order to find and meet his idol.
He’s attended two Manchester United games, both of which Ronaldo wasn’t even on the bench.
However, in his latest stream, the 17-year-old is confronted by a man, who at first sight he believes to be his hero in person.

His reaction is equal parts hilarious and ridiculous as he stands in complete shock before yelling: “RONALDO!”
Speed then gives the man a hug, as he looks astonished that he’s meeting the man in the flesh, tears come flowing from his eyes.
Only, it’s clearly not Ronaldo.
The man has hysterically been named ‘CR8’, and while he looks eerily similar to the Portuguese star, he is clearly not the same man.

Later on in the stream, the look-a-like is asked to show off his football skills and it’s almost as if he’s never had a ball between his feet.
CR8 does an awkward-looking step-over as Speed loses his mind as he realises the man is definitely not his idol.
In a fit he smashes a couple of PS5 boxes and doesn’t look happy at all.

Of course, he later barks at the man and asks him: “Who are you?”
Imagine Speed barking at the real CR7, can’t imagine that would go down well.
It looks as if he may have to wait until at least Qatar to meet the real Ronaldo.

Ronaldo's long-time teammate and friend Ferdinand is trying to work his magic in arranging a link-up between the pair.
Through SPORTbible, Speed was on a FaceTime with the former England defender, who was left in stitches by the YouTube star's new World Cup song.
Conversation soon turned to Ronaldo, with Ferdinand asking him about his fandom.
"You love Ronaldo init?" he asked, to which Speed confirmed that is indeed the case.

Although Jesse Lingard told Speed on Twitch that Ronaldo is aware of him, he revealed he hasn't met him yet.
Enter Ferdinand as the plug. "You want me to hook me up? He's my boy," he said.
Speed could not contain his excitement, saying, "Don't like to me, come on bro, don't do this."
Ferdinand wondered how long the American is in England for and Speed made it clear he'd come over "anytime" just to meet CR7.
The 44-year-old then told Speed, who has DM'd him before, he'd contact him offline to try and make it happen.
However, he did instruct him to cut out the "barking s***" out if he did come face to face with the Portuguese superstar.
