He decided to go talk with the fan and appeared to flip his hat off after receiving more abuse.
The fan responded to that by attacking Black with a headbutt and security immediately got involved.
Before the locker room could empty out, Black landed a few shots on the fan and ripped his t-shirt in the melee.

Referees and venue personel attempted to calm both men down and the unnamed fan can be seen pointing to himself and then to Black.
IWE Pro have since released a statement addressing the incident and have apologised to everyone in attendance for the unsavoury scenes.
It reads: "An unfortunate event happened at the show tonight which will be addressed by IWE personnel. We want to thank everyone for coming out tonight and apologize for any inconveniences that may have occurred."
Black is yet to publicly comment but he's considered one of the best wrestlers on the independent scene.

Suge D, who has appeared in AEW and WWE, tweeted: "It shouldn't take @BlackCloudJB [Joe Black] beating up disrespectful fans to make headlines. He's actually top tier good. But enjoy your hot takes, I guess."
A number of fans have attempted to fight wrestlers for real in the past and in November last year, one attacked WWE superstar Seth Rollins during an episode of Monday Night RAW.
Rollins had just finished a match with Finn Balor and was tackled to the ground from behind inside the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn.

'The Visionary' wasn't fazed and could be heard shouting: "Come on b****. You want to blindside me motherf**ker."
After the dust had settled it emerged the fan in question, 24-year-old Elisah Spencer, had been scammed by someone posing as Rollins online.
