Hungary welcome the Azzurri to the Puskas Arena Park this evening for a crucial clash in the final round of the UEFA Nations League group stages, with both teams needing a win to take them through to the finals of the competition next summer.
Hungary have been a surprise package in this year’s Nations League and they currently sit top of group 3A after the first 5 games.
The previous rounds have seen them complete an impressive double over England and battle to a 1-0 win away in Germany last Friday.

Despite averaging only 37% possession per game, the Hungarians have only lost once in what is considered the toughest group in the competition, and Marco Rossi’s side will have strong confidence levels heading into the World Cup in November.
The Italian national side, who haven't qualified for a World Cup since 2014, will be wanting to secure the top spot in the group to restore some pride and prove their ability at the top level.
However, they currently sit two points behind Hungary meaning only a win would suffice, and they will be hoping for a similar result to the 2-1 win they achieved the last time they faced tonight’s opponents.
Here is everything you need to know about this evening’s game.
