Manchester United will look to sign Tottenham star Harry Kane 'as quickly as possible' this summer by launching an early bid, according to a new report.
Kane has been assigned as United's primary target for the summer, with Erik ten Hag keen to bring another source of goals to Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford has netted on 29 occasions this season, but United's next highest scorer in all competitions is Bruno Fernandes, who has just six goals to his name.

January loan signing Wout Weghorst has been ineffective in that department, and is still yet to open his Premier League account for the club. Cristiano Ronaldo scored three goals before his departure in December.
With only a year left on his Spurs contract, this summer could finally see Kane leave for pastures new. The Telegraph claim that he could run down his deal, however, and leave on a free transfer, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said to want at least £100 million from English clubs to sell him.
But according to a new report, United want a deal done this summer - and they are prepared to act quickly to get him.
Man Utd want Kane
The Guardian claim that United will attempt to 'smooth negotiations' with Spurs by making an early bid for Kane - therefore allowing them to deal with any issues involving chairman Daniel Levy.

The Tottenham chief is known for being a fiercely tough negotiator, and United are said to be aware of the fact that convincing him to sell his star asset will be challenging.
It is claimed that Ten Hag is 'obsessed' with Kane, and the club hope that an early bid will avoid drawn-out negotiations - a position that they do not want to be involved in.
United spent much of last summer trying to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, having also been involved in a lengthy chase to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in 2020. The England forward would, of course, join a year later.
The signing of Kane could elevate United to becoming Premier League title contenders. He could also break the Premier League goalscoring record at Old Trafford, with only Alan Shearer now ahead of him.
